Hiplus Aire Acondicionado optimizes the manufacturing process of its production plant in Arenys de Mar

As part of its constant efforts to optimize and improve the production process of its plants, HIPLUS has recently made a significant investment by incorporating a state-of-the-art artificial vision system with programmable robot in the welding process of Adisa boilers.

The processing unit is a Siemens PLC. The application of this artificial vision system to our factory process was directly supported by the technical staff of the German division.

The system consists in guiding the welding robot by using an artificial vision device. A high-performance industrial camera has been added to the robot arm, equipped with a specific lighting system for this kind of inspection. When the robot approaches the area to be welded, it gives the camera instructions to take pictures and send the precise spatial coordinates for the welding.

In this way, even though there are deformations or excessive tolerances in the part to be welded, the vision system can detect them and perfectly correct the robot trajectory, thus achieving a perfect and uniform welding.

The incorporation of this system helps to improve the plant’s productivity as well as minimize the risk of no quality in the production process.

Hiplus manufacturing is certified according to quality rule ISO 9001 by the official certification company TÜV NORD.
